I have been to Sovereign Hill before and this time due to the huge price for the ticket I am able to use Afterpay service to check out, save me some time to pay in full. Also, the ticketing process is simple and fast, when we arrived at the counter there was not much waiting.

Spent the whole day wandering the streets and then also attended the night show
Andrew Sim 7 months ago

Spent the whole day wandering the streets and then also attended the night show. It was marvellous to see so many volunteers dressed in period costume, All had a smile and were only too willing to tell stories of the era to young & old. Did really enjoy watching how the old machinery worked and have it explained by the operators. The one thing I really liked was that they were making the items that they were selling on site so you could see things being made and then purchase them. Not something made overseas.

Great experience

Great experience. My son really enjoyed the mine tour and going underground. You could spend all day trying to pan for gold in the stream and looking at what life was like in the old days. Pack a lunch as it can be a bit pricey to purchase food there. If on school holidays get there early as if fills up quickly. Tickets through Experience Oz is good value as it gives you 2 days entry and access to the museum as well.

We strongly recommend this place as it was very beautiful and with nice weather

We strongly recommend this place as it was very beautiful and with nice weather, we can take many nice photos. There are many gold processes to be seen there and knowledgeable staff around for us to check with. There are sheeps there too. You can dig gold there and can bring them home.

We attended Sovereign Hill's Christmas in July
Anna Durante 1 year ago

We attended Sovereign Hill's Christmas in July. It was a wonderful experience. We got to enjoy all the usual Sovereign Hill activities by day such as gold panning, confectionary making and the gold pour. Then by night, it turned into a beautiful winter wonderland of falling snow, carols, fairy lights and illuminated buildings that really made you feel like Christmas was upon us. We also took advantage of Sovereign Hill's 2 for 1 offer which meant we could return again the next day and also visit the gold museum which was included in our tickets. Highly recommend to tourists and locals alike.

Wonderlights show is the amaizing Christmas celebration in Australia

Wonderlights show is the amaizing Christmas celebration in Australia. We spent the whole day at the place and wait until the winter lights show comes up. It's spectacular with the artifical snow under the wonderlights. SV hill also has a nice dining area and I am very much enjoyed for the show at Victoria Theatre. "Little Red Robinhood", hilarious, cheering and enjoyable moment.

I took a girlfriend from Florida USA to Sovereign hill as I had been before twice and thoroughly enjoyed it
Christine Young 2 years ago

I took a girlfriend from Florida USA to Sovereign hill as I had been before twice and thoroughly enjoyed it. My friend absolutely loved it! She hasn't stopped talking about it and tells everyone else we meet to go there. Lol It is very educational and the layout of the place actually makes you feel like you are a part of the life that was back in the gold rush days. I Highly recommend it to all ages.

Discover all the action and excitement of life as it was in 1850s Ballarat during the greatest alluvial gold rush the world has ever seen!
